Day 01: ARRIVE IN Vancouver - Ferry to Victoria, BC

From Vancouver you will take the ferry to Victoria. Once you arrive, you can either head to your hotel where you will be staying for two nights or you can start exploring this charming city. A great place to start is the Butchart Gardens. Located about 14 miles north of Victoria, this group of floral display gardens has been in bloom for over a 100 years and is designated a National Historic Site of Canada. Looking for something more adventurous? Take a whale watching adventure tour on a zodiac boat and feel the wind in your hair on this exhilarating adventure as you explore the Salish Sea in search of majestic wildlife.Continue to your hotel for a two-night day.

Day 02: Victoria, BC

You have a full day of exploring Victoria. There is a lot to see so we suggest taking the Sightseeing Hop- on Hop-off CitySights Tour. This allows you a full day of sightseeing to the World-famous Fairmont Empress Hotel, the Craigdarroch Castle, Chinatown and Old Town, Fisherman’s Wharf, Panoramic Inner Harbour, the Parliament Buildings, Christ Church Cathedral, the Oak Bay Village and Marina, the Cook Street Village, and more. You can hop on and off at your leisure. Are you hungry yet? Victoria offers hundreds of restaurants, bistros, bars,
breweries, cafés, and produce markets to choose from. And because it is surrounded by rich farming regions and coastal waters, Victoria’s restaurants and cafés are blessed with an abundance of local ingredients.

Day 03 : Victoria – Tofino, BC

Today you will drive to Canada’s Surf Capital, Tofino. Majestically perched on the edge of Vancouver Island’s Pacific Rim National Park – near the infamous Clayoquot Sound – Tofino offers a bounty of year- round adventures, including whale watching, surfing, kayaking, fishing, hiking, and winter storm watching. From Victoria you will take the Pacific Rim Highway and drive through spectacular Cathedral Grove, historic Port Alberni, and on the winding road around Sproat and Kennedy Lakes. Then you will drive through scenic Sutton Pass. Get your camera ready, you may see some black bears along Pacific Rim Highway 4. Continue on through the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, but take some time to explore. Continue to your hotel for a three night stay in Tofino.

Day 04: Tofino, BC

Instead of a whale watching tour, take a bear watching tour! Most whale watching operators have ocean-going tours that specialize in expeditions to experience bears in their own environment, including ambling along the beaches as they forage for food, while you remain at a safe distance in the boat. Clayoquot Sound is home to a large number of resident black bears, making it prime for bear watching. Bear watching tours are around 2-3 hours with rates similar to whale watching. You can also expect to see eagles, seals, sea lions and other wildlife as you cruise along the shoreline. Later in the day you can experience spectacular ocean views that are offered on a range of hikes around Ucluelet (pronounced Yew-Kloo-Let). Located approximately 25 miles south of Tofino, Ucluelet is a small village with a lot to offer.

Day 05: Tofino, BC

Explore Tofino’s trails, with a diverse, natural network of trails in and around Tofino, you can walk and climb your way through Clayoquot Sound for a new perspective on this special corner of the world. Check out Big Tree Trail on Meares Island. Explore some of the most giant and ancient trees in North America, the Hanging Garden Tree and Poster Tree are both Western Red Cedars and are over 1,000 years old. To get there, hop on a boat or kayak from a local charter company and cruise Tofino’s calm inside waters up Lemmens Inlet to Meares Island. As Canada’s Surf Capital, surfing in Tofino is nothing short of a religion as locals and visitors of all ages and abilities catch year-round waves on miles of surf- able beaches.

Day 06: Tofino – Vancouver, BC

This morning you will want to get an early start. You have approximately a three hour drive from Tofino to Nanaimo. Take the ferry from Departure Bay in Nanaimo to Horseshoe Bay in Vancouver. Once you arrive in Vancouver you will have the afternoon at your leisure. If you are looking for adventure, we have just the thing for you: the iconic Capilano Suspension Bridge. Just 15-minutes from downtown Vancouver, this famous swinging bridge across Capilano Canyon is a Vancouver landmark and has been attracting locals and visitors since 1889.
For those not looking for an adventure there is plenty to see and do in Vancouver. There is the Vancouver Aquarium, Art Gallery, Chinatown, or step aboard an old- fashioned horse-drawn vehicle and take a relaxed trip through the natural beauty of Stanley Park. Overnight in Vancouver.

Day 07: Depart Vancouver, BC

Enjoy the day at your leisure before departing to the Vancouver International Airport (YVR).
